A Steady, Peaceful Mind. Developing Concentration

Concentration is a central  piece of Buddhist practice.  The mind isn’t naturally concentrated and it takes intention and practice to develop this as a habit of mind, which brings benefits for our spiritual development and also tremendous benefits in our lives.  We don’t realize that the scattered mind brings with it self doubt, worries and anxieties and a lot of angsty feelings.

When the mind is concentrated, it becomes quiet, clear and luminous which can also lead to deep blissful states.  In this daylong, we will practice Buddhist concentration techniques and learn about the 40 different concentration objects that the Buddha taught.
